Robert Fortunato is President of ForStrategy Consulting, Inc.  As a trusted business and sustainability advisor, Robert assists clients in empowering themselves with the tools of leadership, strategy and innovation.  This results in clients consistently exceeding their profitability, competitive advantage and effectiveness goals while adding meaning to their work.

Robert’s commitment to leadership, innovation and sustainability led to him designing and general contracting the multiple-award winning Green Idea House.  This retrofit of his family’s home is one of the first affordable, net zero energy, zero carbon case study houses built with standard construction materials and off-the-shelf technologies.  In the process, Robert built a community around the idea that affordable, healthy and lifestyle enhancing green building is possible now.  Five years later, he and his family continue to share what they learned with local cities, schools, businesses and non-profits to help them scale solutions that are: less expensive, better for our health, better for the economy and better for the environment.

Robert developed his expertise during twenty-five years of strategy, marketing, sales, innovation and organizational development work. Formerly a Vice President of Consulting Services with a professional services firm, his experience ranged from small start-ups to large corporations, like AT&T, Steelcase and AECOM.  Most recently, he served as Executive in Residence at the Los Angeles Cleantech incubator where he is currently an Advisor.

Robert also worked internationally for two years, providing strategic development and cultural integration services to merged and acquired companies in Japan, China, Australia and Singapore. By innovatively integrating people, processes, technology and infrastructure, Robert managed to assist his clients in achieving a three-fold increase in revenues and profitability.

Robert’s credentials include a degree from the Wharton School of Business. Committed to continuous learning and development, Robert regularly augments his post-graduate work with executive education classes at Harvard and UCLA and recently completed a year-long leadership program with MIT professor William Isaacs.

Robert is a highly acclaimed TedX speaker and prominent international speaker on the topics of leadership, strategy, innovation and sustainability.  For eight years Robert was Adjunct Faculty at an international innovation, social entrepreneurship and sustainability school based in Denmark and is currently a frequent guest lecturer in Pepperdine’s MBA Program. He sat on the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California and is a Past President of the Legal Marketing Association in Los Angeles.

On a personal note, Robert resides in a beachside suburb of Los Angeles with his wife Monica and their son Carter.  Being avid travelers, they have visited over 50 countries together.  Exposure to diverse cultures and ways of viewing the world plays an important role in their approach to both work and life.
